A project in low gear is the building of this tiny German locomotive. It does not fit into my collection. I simply bought it because it is cute.

Another reason that I wanted to build this kit is that it allows me to assemble a complete set of Walschaerts valve and drive gear without risking a very expensive kit.
The kit is from Rai-Mo, a brand that ceased production in 1985. Good and complete kits are increasingly rare so I was happy to obtain this one for reasonable price.
